Grades Teacher 2015/2016

Waldorf Sarasota is in search of a class teacher  for the 2015/2016 school year. Desired qualifications include a college degree, Waldorf Teaching Certification and prior teaching experience. Ideal candidates are Waldorf trained teachers with a solid track record of successful teaching experience, a commitment to Waldorf Education, and a willingness to contribute to a developing school with strong leadership and faculty participation. Waldorf Sarasota presently offers Nursery through Upper grades programs as well as Parent-Child classes. Our specialty subjects program includes: Spanish, German, Handwork, Fine Arts, Woodworking, Strings, Games, Eurythmy, and Music. Now in our 15th year, our supporting community includes fully trained and seasoned class teachers, a committed board of trustees and administrative staff as well as an active parent community experienced in preparing festival celebrations and creating imaginative and successful fund-raising events. We are a developing school that welcomes a pioneering spirit with a willingness to share an enthusiasm for Waldorf education through outreach into the greater community.

Kindergarten Assistant 2014/2015

Waldorf Sarasota is looking for a kindergarten assistant for immediate hire.  The hours are from 8:30am to 1:30pm, Monday – Friday.   An interest in Waldorf education is required.  The main responsibility  is to assist a 7 year old boy with Down’s syndrome. Experience working with Down’s syndrome children is a plus.  Additional duties include food preparation for our shared lunch, helping children with handwork projects, cleanup and daily activities under the supervision of the teacher.
